The Port Melbourne Baseball Club farewells Club Legend John Ramsay who lost his battle with cancer,

Rags as he was fondly known to all played 770 senior games at the club, won 4 MVP, played in numerous premierships, coached the club, was selected in the Team of the Century, awarded Life Membership & inducted into the Club's Hall of Fame,

Rags you were a fearsome competitor on the field and a most lovelable bloke off the field, we as a club are indebted to you for your amazing conrtibution to our club over 50+ years,

Farewell to Cole Wale

The Committee & Members of the Port Melbourne Baseball Club are saddened by the news of the passing of Life Member Colin "Cole" Wale, Cole was one of the best ever to put on a Port Melbourne Baseball uniform as acknowledged with him being selected at 2nd Base in the Port Melbourne Baseball Club Team of the Century, he also represented Victoria in the Claxton Shield, cole also Coached thr Club.

A True Gentleman of the Club & Port Melbourne Community.

We pass on our deepest sympathies to Heather Wale & Family on the passing of their beloved Colin.

MARINERS APPOINT NEW HEAD COACH,
SENIOR & JUNIOR PRE-SEASON TRAINING

 

Port Melbourne Mariners are pleased to announce the appointment of Tim O’Meara as Head Coach of the Club for the 2016/17 Summer Season,
Tim impressed the Coaching Sub-Committee when he was interviewed for the job and is keen to get stuck into Pre-Season Training starting on September 4th 10am and to start working with all the players.
Tim has an extensive background in baseball as a player having represented Victoria & Australia at Junior Level and many years playing Division 1 at Senior level including a Division 1 Premiership, he also played in the ABL with the Waverley Reds, Tim also has over 15 years of Junior & Senior Coaching experience under his belt, he was an Assistant Coach & Pitching Coach of the Victorian Under 18s team at the most recent National Championships.

We are looking to field the following teams in the 2016/17 Summer League
- 3 Senior Men's Teams in Division 2
- Junior Teams in Under 18's, 16's, 14's, 12's & T-Ball (4-8 year olds)

Please try to bring along a friend & introduce them to the great sport of Baseball

Anyone that is interested in playing at Port Melbourne Baseball Club in one of our Junior or Senior teams feel free attend on these training sessions, no previous baseball experience required

PORT MELBOURNE MARINERS T-BALL

The Port Melbourne Mariners is hosting  Aussie T-Ball for Boys & Girls aged 4-8 years old in 2016/2017 starting October,

Come along and have fun learning a great new sport & making lots of new friends, it only costs $80 which gives each child a 12 weeks program, a T-Ball Backpack which includes a Glove, Ball & lots of other fun stuff,
